Granite Creek Road – Dispersed Camping near Jackson, Wyoming and Grand Teton National Park

Granite Creek Road is an amazing dispersed camping area about 25 miles south of Jackson, Wyoming just off US Route 189. The road is slightly rough in places, but no major inclines or switchbacks. This is a great spot to stop after a couple long days of traveling just to relax for a day and avoid the crowds of Jackson and Grand Teton National Parks. Besides having an incredible view there are also lots of relaxing activities at the end of the road. When it comes to sites there are plenty of great spots to choose from. There are wide open spots with incredible mountain vistas. There are also secluded spots surrounded by trees. At the end of the road there’s a Hot Springs pool, or if you’re really looking for adventure just go to the waterfall near the end of the road. Cross the river and you’ll find a natural hot tub to relax and soak in the scenery.

Cross the river and find the hot spring tub and the bottom of the small waterfall. (Hint: It’s in the middle of the picture.)
